“Wouldn’t do it in front of your partner” is a good rule. Well put.

Thank you. It makes me feel slappy when people pretend they didn't know they'd crossed a line. Tbh the cheated on are often so meek and weak they make me slappy too. It must be hard to walk around all day without a spine...

I mostly agree, but I think some cases are more for discussion than others. Maybe I’ll repost one of my Medium stories on the topic 😁

Will link to yours.

I did once too, but that was before they decided to shadow ban me (again). It's all about who's moderating at the time and if you have recently written an article you don't like.

Thank you for writing this. I am so sick of reading how cheating saved a marriage. It's such bullshit.

It's like a double whammy of cruelty - first engaging in the cheating then minimising it and gaslighting those who have experienced it. Such unpleasant behaviour. Thanks for reading and commenting.

There must be thousands of songs about cheating, going back at least to "Frankie and Johnny", and, with some exceptions, the consequences are usually very bad.

So true, David. Humans learn slowly, if at all.

I could never understand why someone would cheat on someone they made a vow to love, honor, and cherish. If someone is compelled to cheat, that person should have the decency to end their primary relationship before beginning another one. Of course, decency rarely comes into it. Cheaters want the excitement of the affair while holding on to the stability and benefits of matrimony. Cheating is greedy, selfish, and immature behavior.

It is all of that indeed Denise, and I am unsurprised you don't fall for the gaslighting :)
